Trevor St Baker AO

Director, St Baker Energy Innovation Fund   

Trevor-StBakerTrevor has over 50 years experience in the energy industry, including 23 years in planning and leadership roles within NSW and Qld public utilities. 

In 1980 Trevor founded companies which have evolved into ERM Power. For the first 15 years it operated as a successful boutique energy advisory firm. In the late 1990’s it transformed into a private power development company. Since 2006 it has successfully diversified to become an integrated energy company which operates electricity sales, generation and gas businesses. Today ERM Power is well on its way to achieving its aspiration to become the preferred energy supplier to business customers across Australia. 

Trevor plays an active role in the broader energy industry with current positions including Chairman of the National Generators Forum Limited, and non-executive director roles on the boards of Queensland Resources Council Ltd, Master Electricians Australia Limited and Safety Connect Australian Pty Ltd. Trevor is also  founding director of SMR Nuclear Technology Pty Ltd, and is an investor and director of an electric vehicle fast charge developer and energy storage research company, Tritium Pty Ltd. He also co-founded St Baker Wilkes Indigenous Educational Foundation Limited, of which he is the Chairman, and the St. Baker Family Philanthropic Trust.

This international briefing provided an insight into Australia’s potential role in addressing global decarbonisation goals and may have a bearing on the future energy security of Australia. International keynotes joined Australian Panelists from the Renewables, Coal, Gas and Nuclear sectors for lively debate.
